Worth joining OpenAI? Offer details inside.
L5 offer $950k. $310k base, rest is PPU. I don’t yet know the details about how liquidation work with PPUs, what the lock-in period is etc.

I know Blinders like to just vote for the option with the highest TC but it is different in this case, PPUs are not liquid. And I’ll have to move with my family.

Current TC at current $SNAP price - $570k. Next few years TC average is $540k, at current price.

Pros of Snap:
- Great WLB
- Great standing in the team
- All liquid TC, $235k base rest RSUs
- MCOL near LA

Cons of Snap:
- I don’t see a clear path to L6
- Not sure what’s going to happen with $SNAP

Pros of OpenAI:
- Higher base
- More prestige I guess

Cons of OpenAI:
- I have to move to the Bay Area
- Paper money, basically I only have $310k to play with.
- The wife has to also move with me and find a new job in the Bay Area
