任何一个时代都是如此，就拿5/7-5/12的印巴冲突来说，双方宣称的战果和承认的损失和对方说的都对不上。

It was established by Lashkar-e-Taiba's co-founder Hafiz Saeed and serves as its headquarters, and that of its front organisation the Jamaat-ud-Dawa.[c][247][248] Al-Jazeera noted this site as the most significant among the others hit by India.[249] Dawn reported that that at least 3 civilians were killed in the Indian strike.[250]
Bahawalpur's Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah, the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed, was also one of the targets in the Indian strikes.[c][51] Indian media reports claimed that Jaish leader Abdul Rauf Azhar was killed in the strike, though this remains unconfirmed and his brother Masood did not name him among the deceased family members.[251]

这足以说明战果有膨胀是普遍现象。
现代空战就拿5/7印巴空战来说，印度说它击落了巴基斯坦多架战机，巴基斯坦也不承认。
