无论Turbo tax 或 HR Block也没几个钱，没有必要纠结。

几十年了这点玩意还看不会？
那些填税软件无非就是找你要那些数字帮你填到对的地方。

现在都是efile吧？
w-2的pdf，n个股票账户pdf，n个房子的税务保险pdf，都上传，以前的基本信息储存很多年，一个小时基本就到最后一步了。。。。

免税的基本都是standard deduction，除了W2没有其他收入的。
其实报税本身不难，软件的好处是自己生成表格方便多了，还有就是大量税表可以直接导入。

turbo tax 误导性的“start for free",不过如果你有home，价钱就涨到79，如果是 I’m self- employed，或者 I’m a freelancer 或者 I sold stock 或者 I own rental property，价钱就是119.
Hrblock也一样，如果有Rental income and deductions， Stock and bond investments要100，如果有small business要125.
要知道你要是业余时间帮人干了点事,别人给你发了1099misc的表,这就算business.
这里的将军们自己剪草, 自己修房子, 自己修车, 怎么不能自己报个税,还要花那个冤枉钱?

Irs free e-filing 上有两种，自己填的没有收入限制，它帮你的需要低收入。
我都是在那里自己填，TurboTax 太烂，foreign tax withholding 搞不对，SPAXX利息 的部分免州税不给你免。LOL
Irs 那里还可以年底给它转一笔钱避免欠税过多罚款，也不用整年withhold 那么多损失利息。

没办法，老川精准打击高州税的蓝州。现在基本上只有房贷利息超过两万的家庭才itemize了

现在叔挣钱能力下降，免费版已经绰绰有余。但是只要努力搜，一定会有的。
