情商太低，无心之间得罪了一个很重要的admin，该怎么道歉？

I thought we did this! 我以为我做了（但是没做）。就一个误会，楼主跟着要 tracking #啥的，把人给整不会了。

来美国的第一个lab老板是老美白人男，实验室有两个老美白小伙，我当时英语很烂，跟他们学到很多。后来我回头看我当时的邮件记录，简直觉得太对不起老板了。

谢谢，确实是，我的邮件都是巷子里扛竹竿，直来直去的。通常第一句话，就说需要别人干什么。有时候回复太快，还会有语法错误。而且平时读写科研文章，也不会有虚拟语气，都是直截了当的。所以也就没多想。

以后还是用自己的电脑，找小妾帮忙润色一下再发好了。也多读一些英文的书籍，再好好学学英文表达。

昨天开会,老板催问我,要买的一个仪器什么情况了。按照项目安排，要现在立马买，后面才不会耽误进展。于是我发了一封邮件给admin去follow up,同时抄送给了老板和其他相关的合作者.

Me:
I am following up on the order of a capital equipment.....

Admin:
Honestly, I thought we did this!  Let me find out what’s going on.

Me:
Nice!!!
Can you please providing the order information, so that I can communicate with the vendor for the delivery?

Admin: (私信给我)
I’ve asked xxx about this.  I thought it was a done deal and I’m hoping it was ordered. I certainly wasn’t stopping it.  I really hope it was already done, but I’ll find out.

我当时没意识到问题，情商太低了。今天才反应过来，人家生气了。唉，工作真累啊。

很多老中对英语的时态不敏感（我也是）。所以看见那句“I thought we did this!”就（误）以为对方已经做了，其实对方可能传递的是“记错了、其实没做”的意思。然后楼主追着要继续确认订单，从admin的角度看，有些楼主得理不饶人的意思。

不过也不是啥大事，况且楼主也向admin私下解释了，楼主没必要始终放不下。

确实是的，VP有leadership，应该不会跟我这个一心干活的人计较。他也回复解释了一下。这事算翻片了，就等着他们采购仪器吧。

Unfortunately, it hasn’t.  It falls into the category of capital equipment and I was told by the Finance team that they don’t have a final equipment budget yet, so they haven’t placed the order at this point.  So we are waiting on that.  It’s a top priority and I’ll continue to make the case that the equipment will pay for itself and hopefully we can get this ordered very soon.”

你还是给他发了道歉信了呀 看来vp还不能拍板，要等finance team搞定。他说的xxx是finance team的头？下个订单真曲折。要是老板可以直接订就省事了
