美国史上绝无仅有：拜登任内最大政治危机

从去年11月初，拜登团队在拜登华府私人办公室与特拉华州老家中，发现存有多份拜登任副总统期间的国家机密文件后，到今年1月，机密文件越查越多，白宫始终无法清楚交代来龙去脉，早已知情的司法部长加兰德迫不得已，于12日宣布指派特别检察官调查拜登持有机密文件，究竟有无涉及不法。此举到底是司法部为拜登政治解危，还是真的要查个清楚，与调查川普拒交机密文件看齐，不计政治后果，犹待观察。
在美国历史上，这也是绝无仅有的荒谬情事，司法部长同时以特别检察官调查前任的川普与现任的拜登两位总统，这两人已在2020年厮杀过，2024两人是否再度交锋争大位，要看加兰德如何处理，是各打五十大板，轻轻放下，还是起诉川普，却放过拜登。

Trump knowingly brought those materials home and refused to return them.
Biden has been in the DC political theater for decades and knew what’s going on (he had done similar stuff to others). Either he voluntarily got in that situation (to use the spectacle to cover up something more serious) or involuntarily. We can watch the progress but I don’t think it will be a big deal.

Biden has been in the DC political theater for decades and knew what’s going on (he had done similar stuff to others). Either he voluntarily got in that situation (to use the spectacle to cover up something more serious) or involuntarily. We can watch the progress but I don’t think it will be a big deal.
Remember Trump had the power to declassify anything
but Biden was VP and had no such power.
In legal defense, Trump is pretty much immune to any charges because of that power.
