MAP stands for “Minor-Attracted People” and members of that group have been criticized for being pedophiles, even though they claim they don’t “act” on their attraction to children. They are looking for acceptance and hope to find a home in the LGBTQIA+ community, but members say they want nothing to do with them or their attraction to children.

And yet, at one time, the LGBTQ community defended and marched hand in hand with NAMBLA. It took....if I remember correctly....a rather horrible incident to recall that support (and rightly so). This issue isn't new. And that is what bothers me. I support the lgbtq+ community, and I support anyone's right to live their own lives. But this isn't about acceptance here. It's about common sense, and protecting the innocent. I find her disingenuous when she states that she has no idea where this came from. She knows where it comes from. But if she points it out, she will look like a "traitor to the cause". And there are people entertaining it.

Also....as much as I have problems with the Catholic church (my faith, mind you), there is no evidence that supports her absurd statement.

I am in no way insinuating that all or most members of the LGBTQ+ community are pedophiles. But, communities aside, they exist everywhere. This woman needs to stop deflecting and be straightforward in regards to how this came to be, instead of blaming Catholics or crazy evangelicals.

Look up Alan Ginsburg....dude who wrote"Howl"....and then tell me that you have "no idea why your community would be linked to pedophilia.".
