Samsung will soon require its executives to work six days a week, according to an April 18 report from the Korea Economic Daily.

“Considering that performance of our major units, including Samsung Electronics, fell short of expectations in 2023, we are introducing the six-day work week for executives to inject a sense of crisis and make all-out efforts to overcome it,” an unnamed Samsung Group executive told KED.

It’s worth noting that many of the bosses may have already been putting in sixth workdays.

But now, that Saturday or Sunday at work is a requirement.

去年底，一个韩国朋友回去三星入职，没几天就跑回来了，告诉我那里要求员工在工位上待满8小时。

只有码农才是每天健个身开个会上个课还拿着大包，其他行业写time sheet 很普遍吧。不过有了在家办公和外包，码农也堪忧了
