Up to 21 feet it is just okay. Beyond that, the pole is too heavy to support itself. It sags in the middle creating stress on the screw type joints making it extremely difficult to then remove joints when you need a shorter pole. Keep looking.
Atfull extension I would not consider this a light weight option. The weight is the least of my concerns. At full extension this pole saw is dangerously flimsy and will snap eventually. Every single screw connection comes loose regardless of how tight you can connect the pieces together and this is due to the extreme flex and bend in the poles when fully extended. I did not try at shorter length as my only need is for this saw to be fully extended for that maximum reach. Once I was able to get the blade where it needed to be which was a true struggle due to the extreme bend in the pole the saw blade kept twisting and bending as well due it it being so thin ontop of the pole flexing and bending which worked against the saw blade making it near impossible to cut at the full extension. I will be returning both sets that I purchased.
