钴对中国EV已经不重要了。中国已经发现新东西了。
The story is about cobalt, but the real issue is samarium, a rare earth element. Samarium-Cobalt (SmCo) permanent magnets are required for critical high temp military/high corrosion resistant applications.
Currently the only supplier of separated Sm is China Inc, and it is now under export control.
Not sure why U.S. rare earth miner stocks are impacted since no one in the U.S. can provide the required separation anyways.

China owns practically allCongo now, too late. How bout getting it from Argentina now the SEGEMAR (Argentine Geological Mining Service) reports deposits like Las Águilas in San Luis (with 0.03% cobalt), King Tut in La Rioja (4 g/t gold; 0.91% cobalt), and La Niquelina-Esperanza District in Salta (with up to 1.76% cobalt).

因为买钴是为了配合钐使用；不买股说明弄不到配套的钐，国防部不看好美国自产钐；所以美稀土股下跌。
