A father of nine reportedly died after a road rage confrontation in Castro Valley over the weekend.
When officers arrived, they found one of the individuals involved had serious visible injuries, the outlet reported. The person was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
The man was later identified as Jason Elola, 49, a father of nine and grandfather of four.
The other driver, Davis, left the scene but called CHP’s non-emergency line to report his involvement and was told by officers to return to the scene.
Davis told an officer at the scene that Elola had cut him off, according to KGO-TV footage.
After Elola exited the vehicle, Davis said they got into a physical altercation. “He raises his hands. As soon as he attacks me … ring him up … he hits the ground,” Davis told the police, according to KGO-TV.
