true!!! now think over my own experience - had quite a few dangerous moments especially during the first 3 years of driving.
the first was about driving to Toronto by a small car in summer and ran into heavy rain on high-way in Michigan where highway is full of 18wheels running 80miles/ph; never had any experience of driving highway with heavy rain before; hardly see anything on highway, and almost ran into a 18 wheelers in front of me ...
driving from Keywest back to chicago through a thick foggy mountain area in TN in a dark night; hardly to see 50-100 ft away with cliffs on one side ; even all 18 wheelers went off the high-ways to gas station and I could not find any car to follow; I was so scared of running off the cliff because low visibility ....
driving to DC in winter and caught an 20inch snow from Indiana all the way to DC; hundreds and thousands of cars &18 wheelers slipped off the highways including mine. I called a local towing company to got the car pulled out and then kept driving at a 30mile/hr speed on highway for another 20hr non-stop because cars can easily slipped off the road at ramp .... remember very few cars still driving with me in zig-zag in the middle of highway regardless lanes.
driving to MN in 2018 or maybe 2019 right after a 15in snowstorm on prior day before the trip; thought it would be safe after the snowstorm; but it turned out the 2nd day, it came with a huge wind blowing the snow from highway shoulders back to highway road; saw hundreds of cars slipped off the road because nobody realized how dangerous (slippery) highway is; also the wind sometimes would blew the snow right into your car; and you can hardly see anything for a few min.... I remember, one car in front of me suddenly slipped to the highway shoulder with a 180 degree turn; so when I drove by, I can see the driver facing towards me; A weird image of having a driver looking right back to me when i drove by ...

给自己女儿买，还是安全第一吧，要我就买Volvo 60 或90，混动。刚买了一个，开着太爽了，比我以前买过的六七辆车都好开。我女儿开车很好，等女儿毕业，打算给她买二者之一。XC90顶梁是加强钢梁，看过一个视频，顶部砸撞，XC90虽然塌陷了些，担任应该没问题，其它车辆基本瘪了。
